Zelensky: Russian command gets ready for new heavy losses

The Russian army command gets ready for new heavy losses, preparing additional refrigerators to store dead bodies.

“We know that the Russian command is preparing for new big losses,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his latest address.

As noted, new people are being recruited to the units whose personnel was almost completely eliminated or significantly weakened in March-April. New recruits have little motivation and little combat experience.

Zelensky believes that the Russian command just wants to get the needed number to throw these units into the offensive.

“The Russian command is well aware that thousands more Russian soldiers will be killed and thousands more will be wounded in the coming weeks,” the President of Ukraine said, wondering why Russian soldiers themselves and their relatives need this.

“Russian commanders lie to their soldiers saying they will face some serious responsibility for refusing to fight. And at the same time, they do not tell, for example, about the preparation by the Russian army of additional refrigerators for storing corpses. They do not tell what new ‘planned’ losses the generals expect. Every Russian soldier can still save his life. You'd better survive in Russia than die on our land,” Zelensky said.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure facilities, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles, terrorize Ukrainians in temporarily occupied territories.
