Invaders continue offensive in Ukraine’s east – General Staff

Russian enemy continues to carry out offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to defeat the Joint Forces, establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and maintain the land route with the occupied Crimea.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Volyn and Polissya areas, the Russians undertook no active efforts, no signs of the formation of offensive groups were spotted. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus continue to perform tasks to strengthen protection of the state border with Ukraine.

No changes in the activities and composition of Russian enemy group were detected in the Siversky direction.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the Russians continue to focus their efforts on holding their positions near the city of Kharkiv and trying to inflict fire damage on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in certain areas.

The invaders Russian conducted no active offensive operations in the Izium direction. Their main efforts were focused on conducting reconnaissance, identifying the Ukrainian defensive positions and their destruction by artillery fire.

In the Donetsk and Tavria directions, in order to prevent the regrouping of Ukrainian troops, the Russians are firing at their positions, using artillery, mortars, and MLR systems along the entire line of contact.

Russian occupiers continue the siege of the Ukrainian units in Mariupol, around the Azovstal plant.

In the temporarily occupied territories, Russian occupation authorities continue to restrict the movement and detain local residents and block humanitarian goods from the territory of Ukraine. In addition, Russian occupiers are robbing local farmers. For example, more than 60 tonnes of wheat were stolen from an agricultural facility in the town of Kamianka-Dniprovska, along with the trucks.

Fifteen aerial targets were downed by Ukrainian defenders over the past day, including a warplane, five cruise missiles, and nine drones.
