Russian forces again shell Mykolaiv using Smerch MLRS

Russian forces fired Smerch multiple rocket launchers on residential districts in Mykolaiv, damaging private houses, cars, and shops.

The South operational command reported on YouTube, Ukrinform reports.

"Mykolaiv was again hit by Smerch multiple rocket launchers. Dozens of private households, cars and shops were damaged. Cluster munitions covered playgrounds and schoolyards. Information about the victims is being clarified," the South operational command said.

In Odesa region, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a reconnaissance drone over the Black Sea. The enemy continues to survey the area to identify sites to launch missile strikes.

According to the South operational command, the enemy continues to prepare for the so-called referendum, the invaders do not stop shelling the settlements they left, keeping local residents in psychological tension, promoting propaganda that these are allegedly actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of its eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
