Enemy conducting active operations along entire line of contact in Donetsk direction

"The enemy's offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone are underway in order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and hold the land corridor with the occupied Crimea. The occupying forces are most active in Slobozhansky and Donetsk directions," reads the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00 on April 27, released on Facebook.

The enemy takes measures to replenish its units that suffered casualties during hostilities, particularly by removing the equipment from storage in warehouses and bases of military districts. The equipment is usually transported to the territory of Ukraine by rail.

The invaders continue to launch missile strikes on residential areas in the territory of Ukraine.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to launch airstrikes and hit the infrastructure of the city of Kharkiv with artillery.

In Izium direction, the units of the 1st Guards Tank Army, the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District, the 35th Combined Arms Army, and the 68th Army Corps of the Eastern Military District and Airborne Forces conduct offensive operations in the direction of Barvinkove.

The enemy captured the northeastern outskirts of Velyka Komyshuvakha and took control of Zavody.

In order to increase the grouping of troops, the Russian invaders redeployed two battalion tactical groups from the 76th Airborne Assault Division of the Airborne Forces from the territory of Belgorod region to the town of Izium. In addition, in the areas of settlements of Belgorod region, the enemy deployed two missile divisions of Iskander-M ballistic missile system.

“In Donetsk direction, the enemy units are active almost along the entire line of contact. The main efforts are focused on the offensive operations in Sievierodonetsk, Popasna, and Kurakhove directions in order to take full control of Popasna, Rubizhne and pursue the offensive on Lyman, Sievierodonetsk, and Slovyansk,” the General Staff reports.

In Lyman direction, the enemy established control over Zarichne, assaulted the area of Yampil.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the invaders established control over Novotoshkivske and launched an offensive in the direction of Nyzhnie and Orikhove.

In Mariupol direction, the enemy massively fires on and blocks Ukrainian units in the area of ​​the Azovstal plant. In the city, the invaders continue to subject the civilian population to filtration measures.

In the Southern Buh and Tavriysky directions, the enemy uses the available forces and means to focus its main efforts on holding the previously captured frontiers and firing on Ukrainian positions. In Mykolayiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy tries to improve its tactical position. To this end, it regroups units, increases fire damage, conducts air reconnaissance.

Russian Guard units take filtration measures in the areas of Kyselivka and Stanislav of Kherson region.

In Tavriysky direction, the enemy equips its positions and replenishes reserves.

There are no significant changes in Volyn, Polissya, and Siversky directions.

Ukrainian troops downed seven air targets over the past day: a Su-25 aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter, three operational-tactical UAVs, and two cruise missiles.

In Donetsk and Luhansk regions alone, 9 enemy attacks were repulsed, 9 tanks, 11 artillery systems, 4 units of special equipment, 17 armored vehicles, 3 units of special engineering equipment, 16 vehicles, 4 fuel tanks, and one anti-aircraft gun were destroyed over the past day.

Military transport, fighter, bomber, and assault aircraft of the Air Force continue to perform tasks in Ukraine’s airspace.

During sudden air raids, Russian invaders suffered significant losses in their positions. A lot of enemy equipment and manpower were destroyed in airstrikes.
