President Zelensky: 931 settlements liberated since Russian invasion started

The Ukrainian defense forces have liberated 931 settlements since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine started.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of this time, 931 settlements have already been de-occupied. Many cities and communities are still under the temporary control of the Russian army. But I have no doubt that it is only a matter of time before we liberate our land,” Zelensky told.

In his words, this war has truly become a people’s war for Ukraine. And it showed that all across Ukraine – from east to west, from north to south – the Ukrainian idea is equally strong, equally national.

According to the President of Ukraine, Russia can spend enormous resources to support the war, oppose the entire free world, take away from its people everything that could have been used to develop Russia itself, and focus this potential on destroying its neighbors. But, the lessons of history are well known, Zelensky stressed.

“If you are going to build a millennial Reich, you lose. If you are going to destroy the neighbors, you lose. If you want to restore the old empire, you lose. And if you go against the Ukrainians, you lose,” the President of Ukraine noted.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
