Arakhamia, Podoliak ready to leave for Mariupol as soon as there is confirmation from Russia

David Arakhamia, the head of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation, says he and Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office and a member of the delegation, are ready to leave for Mariupol for talks as soon as they receive confirmation from Russia.

“Mykhailo Podoliak and I are ready to arrive in Mariupol to hold talks with the Russian side on the evacuation of our military garrison and civilians,” Arakhamia wrote Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

He stressed that representatives of the Ukrainian delegation are in constant contact with Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol.

"Today, in a conversation with the city's defenders, a proposal was made that a negotiation round be held on the spot to evacuate our military garrison. For our part, to arrive for such negotiations at any time as soon as we receive confirmation from Russia," he wrote.

As reported, Azov Regiment Deputy Commander Captain Sviatoslav Palamar said that the command center of Mariupol defenders had talked to David Arakhamia and Mykhailo Podoliak on April 20, who expressed readiness to come to Mariupol in order to hold talks with Russia’s representatives, Vladimir Medinsky and Leonid Slutsky, about the evacuation of the military post.
