Ukrainian paratroopers shot down two Russian drones using Stinger and Starstreak

Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed two Russian drones Horizon Air S-100 and Orlan-10 using Stinger and Starstreak portable air defense missile systems.

The Command of the Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"In the past 24 hours, the air defense units of the airborne assault forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down two Russian unmanned aerial vehicles of various types: a multi-purpose unmanned helicopter Horizon Air S-100 and a multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle complex Orlan-10. They were shot down by Stinger and Starstreak portable air defense systems,” the report says.

As reported, between February 24 and April 20, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 20,900 troops.

In addition, enemy’s losses included 815 tanks, 2,087 armored fighting vehicles, 391 artillery systems, 136 multiple launch rocket systems, 67 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 171 aircrafts, 150 helicopters, 1,504 motor vehicles, eight boats/cutters, 76 fuel tanks, 165 unmanned aerial vehicles, 27 special equipment units and four mobile SRBM systems.
