Kyslytsya: Russian invaders, like Nazis, forcibly deporting Ukrainians from occupied territories

Russian invaders continue to forcibly deport Ukrainians from temporarily occupied territories to Russia, as Nazi Germany once did.

Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya said this at a meeting of the UN Security Council, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Filtration camps are an integral element of their transfer. At least 20,000 Ukrainians are kept in filtration camps on the Manhush-Nikolske-Yalta line, about 5,000-7,000 people – in the filtration camp in the village of Bezimenne, Donetsk region," he said.

According to available information, citizens of Ukraine are sent to the economically depressed regions of the Russian Federation, including the northern regions and the island of Sakhalin, Kyslytsya said. He also added that Ukrainians receive documents banning them from leaving Russian regions for two years.

In total, he said, more than 500,000 Ukrainians, including 121,000 children, have already been forcibly transferred to Russian territory.

Such actions by the Russian invaders can be qualified as kidnapping and require a resolute response by the international community, primarily from the relevant UN agencies, Kyslytsya said.

"Every time it seems that we have already got accustomed to the ignoble methods of Russian warfare. And every new piece of news from Mariupol and dozens of other hotspots proves that Russians are still able to hit new lows," he said.

The UN Security Council on Tuesday discussed the humanitarian situation in Ukraine caused by the Russian invasion.
