The number of enemy attacks have increased in Luhansk region. Six enemy planes are bombing cities, destroying residential areas.

The press service of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The great battle for the east of Ukraine has begun. We are recording an increase in shelling from various weapons. Six enemy aircraft are ‘working’ over Luhansk region. As a result, there is a lot of destruction in residential areas," the statement said.

The fighting continues in Rubizhne, Popasna and Kreminna. There, people cannot leave bomb shelters at all.

The humanitarian situation is very difficult. More than 200 settlements of the region are without electricity. There is no electrify at all in the temporarily occupied territory, as the invaders cut the power line.

The regional administration also noted that civilian evacuation is complicated due to the shelling.

As Ukrinform reported, Luhansk region is constantly under attack by Russian forces. Many residential buildings, infrastructure, educational institutions have been destroyed in the region. All region’s hospitals have been damaged.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
