In the territories temporarily occupied by Russian forces, the invaders are mining roads, fields, forests, and cemeteries.

That’s according to the press service of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Ukrinform reports.

"The Russians are mining the areas in all temporarily occupied territories. In particular, overnight April 18, along the Kherson-Snihurivka motorway (the section between Naddnipryanske and Oleksandrivka), the occupiers densely mined fields, forest areas, and dirt roads,” the statement reads.

In addition, in Kharkiv region on the territory of Velykoburlutsky district, all minor roads (including dirt roads) have been completely mined. According to the occupiers’ logic, this is done to prevent volunteers and Ukrainian scouts from getting into the area.

From the territory and premises of the central district hospital of Polohiv district (Zaporizhia region), the Russian military removed all patients and staff. The exception is the Russian wounded servicemen, who were on the ground floor of the hospital. All staff were told they were fired and banned from coming back to the premises. Any violation of the ban will result in execution on the spot. The hospital itself was mined as well.

According to intelligence, in the village of Fedorivka, Polohiv district, the Russians mined all roads, fields, forest areas, and even cemeteries.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on April 18, the head of Ukraine's military intelligence, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, said that the Russians were preparing for a decisive battle in the east of the country, trying to gain ground by Easter, adding that the invaders “will not succeed.”
