Explosions heard in Kyiv region, active hostilities reported along front line across Donetsk region

A number of blasts were reported in Vasylkiv district, Kyiv region, residential neighborhoods in Kharkiv region came under the Russian fire, while hostilities are ongoing along the entire front line in Donetsk region.

That’s according to a combined report by the regional military administrations as of 8:00, Ukrinform reports.

In Kyiv region, explosions were heard in Vasylkiv community. According to preliminary data, it was Ukraine’s air defense hitting incoming missiles.

In Kharkiv, shelling of residential neighborhoods continued where several fires broke out overnight. Throughout the day, the invaders opened fire on Zolochiv and Derhachi, where casualties are reported. There are battles underway in the Izium direction.

In Luhansk region, there have been 24 strikes for the past 24 hours. Two people were killed and two – injured. Also, 225 civilians were evacuated.

Firefights continue along the entire front line in Donetsk region. Throughout the day, Mariupol, Velyka Novosilka, Zarichne, Vuhledar, Kramatorsk, as well as a number of settlements in Kramatorsk district and the town of Bakhmut came under enemy fire. Three people were killed and seven were injured in these strikes. In Krasnohorivka, firefighters put out a house fire early this morning.

The situation in Mariupol remains unchanged: the Ukrainian forces are repelling the enemy assault in the city that has been besieged since March 1.

Explosions and shelling were heard in Kherson region. There is currently no information on the damage to infrastructure and casualties. Across the region, the humanitarian crisis has unfolded in many settlements, while the Russians are engaged in looting.

The night passed relatively calmly in many regions across Ukraine, including Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Poltava, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Chernihiv.
