Russian troops shell Donetsk Region, killing three civilians

On April 11, 2022, Russian troops shelled Donetsk Region, leaving three civilians killed and eight more civilians wounded.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russia kills civilians. On April 11, 2022, three persons were killed in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region, namely in Vuhledar, Mykhailivka and Krasnohorivka. Eight civilians were wounded,” Kyrylenko wrote.

In Bakhmut, medical aid was provided to two people, who were wounded in Luhansk Region.

According to Kyrylenko, seven more people were reported dead in Mariupol. Meanwhile, the total number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is remaining unknown at the moment.

In general, between February 24, 2022 and April 11, 2022, a total of 237 civilians were killed and 758 civilians were wounded as a result of the Russian armed aggression in Donetsk Region.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
