Russian military kill 183 children in Ukraine

A total of 183 children have died and 342 children have been injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of 08:00, April 11, 2022, according to the data from the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, which are yet to be confirmed, a total of 183 children have died and 342 children have been injured since the Russian invasion started,” Denisova wrote.

In her words, it is now impossible to determine the actual number of casualties among children, as Russian troops are conducting active hostilities within Ukrainian cities.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in Donetsk Region (110), Kyiv Region (98), Kharkiv Region (76), Chernihiv Region (54), Mykolaiv Region (40), Luhansk Region (35), Zaporizhzhia Region (22), Kherson Region (29), the city of Kyiv (16), Sumy Region (16) and Zhytomyr Region (15).

When recording the criminal offences committed in Vorzel, Kyiv Region, a 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds was found dead.

On March 14, 2022, two boys, 12 and 14, were wounded in shelling of Rozvazhiv, Vyshhorod District, and died.

In Borodianka, Kyiv Region, a family with a five-year-child was killed in shelling. Their bodies have been found just now.

On April 10, 2022, a 16-year-old boy received wounds in artillery shelling of the village in Pokrovsk District, Donetsk Region.
