Currently, there is information on more than 400 civilians killed by Russian invaders in Kyiv region.

"Currently, there is information on more than 400 civilians killed in Kyiv region. But the death toll will keep rising," Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In Bucha, 28 bodies were found on the streets after the liberation. The occupiers shot people, who did not pose any threat to them, from armored vehicles.

The adviser to the minister also noted that the place of mass murder of Ukrainians had been found in the village of Motyzhyn. In particular, the invaders killed Motyzhyn village head Olha Sukhenko, her husband, and her son. "And we still can't find her daughter," Gerashchenko said.

According to him, the bodies of three other people, including a territorial defense fighter, were found next to the bodies of the Sukhenko family members.

The day before, the bodies of 11 Ukrainian citizens killed by the occupiers were found in the premises of one of the buildings in Hostomel.

"And this is just the beginning of the activity begun by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine to document crimes," Gerashchenko said.

Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel, and the entire Kyiv region were liberated from Russian invaders in early April. Mass killings of civilians by the occupiers were recorded in the liberated towns and villages.

The raped women, whose bodies the invaders tried to burn, killed local government officials, children, the elderly, and men were the victims of war crimes committed by the Russian troops. Many victims have their hands tied, their bodies have traces of torture. A lot of people were shot in the back of the head.
