Ukrainian forces repulse nine Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine over past day

Ukrainian defenders successfully repulsed nine attacks by Russian invaders in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in the past 24 hours.
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Joint Forces Operation reported this on Facebook.
Ukrainian soldiers today destroyed six Russian tanks, five armored vehicles, six vehicles and four artillery systems of the enemy, the statement said.
Air defense units shot down two Russian aircraft, a cruise missile and an unmanned aerial vehicle in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrinform reported earlier that about 18,600 Russian soldiers were killed in action in Ukraine from February 24 to April 6. The enemy also lost 684 tanks, 1,861 armored fighting vehicles, 332 artillery systems, 107 multiple rocket launchers, 55 air defense systems and other equipment.
