Enemy forcibly send residents of Izium to Russia - General Staff

Russian forces forcibly deport the local population of Izium to Russia.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to the operational update of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on April 4.

"In Slobozhanshchyna, in the city of Izium, the enemy is carrying out […] forcible deportation of local residents to the territory of the Russian Federation," the report says.  

In the Siverskyi direction, the situation remains unchanged. Elimination of the consequences of Russian forces’ activities continues.

Fighting continues in the areas temporarily occupied by the invaders in Kherson region. Around Nova Kakhovka, the enemy enhanced checks at checkpoints. The invaders resort to detaining civilians and forcing orcing them into engineering equipment positions. Cases of illegal seizure of vehicles from the population have become more frequent.

At the same time, it is reported that Ukraine's defense forces continue to push back the enemy and liberate temporarily occupied territories.
