Russian invaders are preparing to make a huge breakthrough in Luhansk Region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an enemy attack near Rubizhne last night.

The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai during a telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Indeed, there is a massive accumulation of troops, military vehicles. They are preparing for a huge breakthrough. Yesterday, they attempted to break the defense lines near Rubizhne, but Ukrainian defenders repelled the attack, damaged several tanks and killed dozens of enemies,” Haidai told.

In his words, the Ukrainian military are keeping the defense, but “we see that forces are accumulated very and very massively”.

Haidai called on local residents in Luhansk Region to evacuate, as the enemy “will simply destroy everything on their way”.

According to Haidai, Russian invaders are now using local residents within the temporarily occupied areas as “cannon fodder”.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion against Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
