UK expands sanctions against Russia
According to Ukrinform, an updated sanctions list has been published on the government's website.
The restrictive measures target 14 people working for Russian propaganda TV channels, as well as the Russian military.
The list includes Gazprom-Media CEO Aleksandr Zharov, Managing Director of Russia Today Alexey Nikolov and Head of Sputnik International Broadcasting Anton Anisimov.
Russian Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, who is accused of leading the siege of Mariupol, was also sanctioned.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of an all-out invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying critical infrastructure, residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, ballistic missiles and air bombs.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. The country is repelling the invaders.
A number of Western countries imposed sanctions against Russia.
