Ukrinform
There are certain signs that Russian troops are regrouping to focus efforts on the Eastern direction.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As of 00:00 (midnight), March 30, 2022, Russian invaders failed to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region, encircle the city of Kyiv and gain control over the left-bank part of Ukraine.

At the moment, the separate units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to withdraw from Kyiv Region and Chernihiv Region. There are certain signs that Russian troops are regrouping to focus efforts on the Eastern direction.

According to the General Staff, the so-called ‘withdrawal of troops’ may also be a rotation of certain units, which is intended to mislead the military leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and create a misconception about Russia’s refusal to encircle Kyiv.

In the Volyn, Polissia and Siverskyi directions, the enemy’s actions and positions remained practically unchanged.

Russian troops are attempting to hold the captured frontiers. No active offensive actions are carried out.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy is holding the captured positions near Kamianka and Sukha Kamianka. Russian troops were regrouping and replenishing stocks.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian invaders continue firing and storming actions. The enemy was launching air and missile strikes on Kreminna and Mariupol. Russian troops focused efforts on capturing Popasna and Rubizhne and gaining full control over Maripol but failed.

In the Tavriiskyi direction, no changes in the enemy’s ranks and positions were recorded.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops are making efforts to restore the combat capacity. The enemy is attempting to hold the Ukrainian Army back with artillery and air strikes.

In particular, the Ukrainian defense positions near Stepnohirsk, Orikhove and Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia Region, were shelled with artillery systems.

Near Novokarlivka and Luhivske, the enemy continues to place fortification equipment within the captured positions and create mine barriers.

In the Black Sea and Azov operational zones, no significant changes were recorded.
