The Ukrainian military are fighting for the liberation of Trostyanets community in Sumy region.

“Trostyanets. Our armed forces are fighting for the liberation of the community! The community works under bullets and shelling: doctors do their job, local volunteers and activists support life in the community as much as possible in today's conditions. I understand you want to know more about the situation in the town but the battle is still going on," Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyy posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the Russians do not allow to bury the dead, and Ukrainians have to make graves in the gardens of private houses.

"But no one needs the corpses of orcs, they do not take their fellows away and do not allow us to remove the bodies that lie around the town and stink. This situation clearly shows the essence of the orcs. And given that there has been no electricity in a local morgue for several days in a row, the situation is difficult," Zhyvytskyy added.

There is mobile connection in Trostyanets community, but there is no possibility to charge phones. Many people are unable to contact relatives because of this. The Russian invaders do not allow power engineers to repair networks.

Yesterday, according to the Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, fighting also continued in Konotop district. Two Ukrainians were killed, two more were wounded by the Russian military.

On the same day, in the village of Velykyi Sambir, Russians shoot local residents with firearms. Two people died on the spot.

Over the past 24 hours, invaders destroyed a farm and several houses in the shelling of Syrovatka and Nyziv. There are wounded, five people were hospitalized.

Today, the enemies bombed Okhtyrka. Injuries and casualties are being clarified.

Kidnappings continue in the border villages of Krasnopillia community of Sumy region. Yesterday, the Russian military abducted a man.

On February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin started the large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.
