Ukraine’s Armed Forces repulse attempt of Russian troops to break through defense line in Donetsk direction

"As of 17:00 on March 14, Russian-occupation forces tried to break through the defense line of Ukrainian defenders in Donetsk direction, in the area of ​​responsibility of the Operational and Tactical Group ‘East’. The offensive was repulsed, and the enemy lost up to 100 soldiers, two tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, and one armored personnel carrier. After an unsuccessful attempt to break through our defense lines, the enemy retreated,” the Operational and Tactical Group “East” posted on Facebook.

Thanks to the successful actions of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, an enemy who tried to go into the attack in Volnovakha direction was identified timely. As a result of the battle, four infantry fighting vehicles and up to two infantry platoons of Russian invaders were destroyed.

Also during the day, Ukrainian aircraft and artillery inflicted fire damage on clusters of enemy military equipment and columns. In particular, artillery fire destroyed the logistics column: more than 12 vehicles.

Having suffered losses, the battalion tactical groups of the 336th Separate Marine Brigade and the 11th Separate Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces retreated.
