Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Russian troops have destroyed seven hospitals that cannot be rebuilt and damaged 104 more. Six health workers have been killed in shelling.

"The occupiers have already destroyed seven hospitals in Ukraine that cannot be rebuilt. We will have to build new hospitals in those cities. Another 104 healthcare facilities are damaged, but they can still be restored, some of which we have already restored quickly after the shelling. Thirty-four ambulances were fired on, most of them are out of order. Six health workers have been killed, 12 have been seriously wounded, there are some with light wounds," Health Minister Viktor Liashko said during a nationwide telethon.

At the same time, he noted that despite the losses, there is an opportunity to receive medical care in Ukraine, all healthcare facilities are working. But for subjective and objective reasons, the situation has changed.

"The medical sphere has reorganized and switched over to military medicine footing. Everything works completely differently. Priority is given to the supply of medicines to the health care facilities at the forefront, which receive the wounded, injured, people with multiple injuries after the collapse of houses," Liashko said.

On February 24, Russian president Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, conduct massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
