Russia's war against Ukraine has caused billions of hryvnias in damage to the Ukrainian transport infrastructure, and it will take one or two years to rebuild the largest facilities.

Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov has stated this, Ukrinform reports.

At the end of last week, the damage to transport infrastructure alone (roads, bridges, railways, equipment, and airports) exceeded $10 billion.

According to Kubrakov, restoring infrastructure, Ukraine will rely on the help of the world: "Of course, this tragedy is not ours, this war is not ours - Ukraine protects the interests of the entire civilized world, we will also restore the country not alone."

The minister believes that most of the facilities will be restored in a year; the largest objects will be renewed in two years.

"We will definitely win and we will rebuild everything," Kubrakov concluded

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.

Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
