"The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is repelling enemy air strikes. Continues to conduct systematic military operations. So far, the Russian invaders have already lost 37 planes and 37 helicopters," the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

As noted, the invaders focused their main efforts on encircling Kyiv and weakening the resistance in the populated localities they blocked. The enemy also continued to launch missile and bomb strikes on settlements, using artillery and multiple rocket launcher systems to destroy critical infrastructure and residential houses.

According to the General Staff, the situation of Ukrainian troops in the Volyn direction has not changed significantly.

In the northern direction, Chernihiv carries out heroic defense. The units of the operational group of troops hold positions on the established bounds.

In the area of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske, Chernihiv region, a column of up to 200 units of equipment and manpower is standing in front of the water barrier. The bridge across the river was destroyed.

In Slobozhansky direction, units of the group continue to conduct defensive battles, successfully carry out fire damage to the enemy.

The Joint Forces are still conducting a defensive operation with two operational and tactical groups.

In Prymorsky direction, the operational group of troops covers the sea coast and prevents the encirclement of the city of Mykolayiv.

It is also emphasized that the defenders of Kyiv continue to repel the enemy's offensive, defeat his offensive group, and hold the assigned positions.

As the General Staff noted, the enemy is demoralized, and the local population is showing by all means that Russia is not expected here.

As of 18:00 on Friday, March 4, Ukrainian soldiers recaptured the Kulbakino airport in Mykolayiv and raised the state flag there.
