Russian terrorists launched an air strike on the Southern Railway Station in Kyiv, where the evacuation of civilians is now underway.

The reports about casualties are now being verified, the Kyiv City State Administration reports in Telegram.

"Russian terrorists launched an air strike on the Southern Railway Station in Kyiv, where thousands of Ukrainian women and children are being evacuated," the statement said.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, the stike hit the area the Ibis hotel, while the station building suffered minor damage.

Information about the victims is being clarified.

Departures continue.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian troops have been massively shelling residential neighborhoods in the settlements across Kyiv region. Enemy missiles hit dorms in Vasylkiv and Bila Tserkva. Due to the shelling in the village of Kalynivka, , Fastiv district, three households were destroyed. Damage to the maternity hospital building was reported in the region.

As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure in many cities was destroyed, five civilians were injured and four were killed. Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is underway into the facts of missile attacks on settlements by Russian troops. The actions of the aggressor power are qualified as a violation of laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
