Today, 346 people have been evacuated from Volnovakha town, Donetsk region, to a safe place. A total of 496 people, including 100 children, have been evacuated over the war.

"Today, 346 people have been evacuated from Volnovakha town to safe place. A total of 496 people, including 100 children and three people with disabilities, have been evacuated from Volnovakha town and partly from the Volnovakha district since the beginning of the Russian invasion,” Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko posted on Facebook.

He noted that Russian troops had been levelling Volnovakha with the ground for the fifth day in a row. The town residents are cut off from water, electricity, gas supplies. People are sitting in the basements. The invaders do not allow to evacuate people through a green humanitarian corridor.

"We use every opportunity to help people. But we understand that the situation can change radically only after the Russian-occupation forces stop firing and destroying the town," Kyrylenko explained.

He again called on international humanitarian organizations to intervene and put pressure on the Russian aggressor to make it cease fire.

Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities. Missiles hit residential buildings.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.

Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of all Ukrainian people, courageously resist the Russian aggression.
