Austria increases humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Austria will provide another EUR 15 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The relevant report was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Austrian Republic, Ukrinform reports.

The Austrian federal government has prepared a second expanded aid package. Austria is providing EUR 15 million to local aid organizations from the Foreign Disaster Fund (AKF). The funds are being donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNICEF and Austrian NGOs.

Last week, Vienna provided EUR 2.5 million for the implementation of humanitarian programs Ukraine.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.
