Belarusian army units moving towards border with Volyn region - General Staff

Some units of the most combat-ready formations of the Armed Forces of Belarus have started moving towards the border with Ukraine's Volyn region.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook.

"Some units from among the most combat-ready formations of the Armed Forces of Belarus have started moving towards the state border of Ukraine in the Volyn direction," the statement said.

In addition, Belarusian territory continues to be used for combat sorties of the army, operational-tactical and special aircraft of the Russian Federation to perform tasks on Ukrainian territory.

According to the statement, the planes of the Russian Armed Forces resumed conducting air reconnaissance of objects on Ukrainian territory from Belarusian airspace.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Martial law was imposed in the country and general mobilization was declared.
