Japan is allocating another $100 million to support Ukraine in opposing the Russian army.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Talked with Prime Minister of Japan Kishida Fumio. Thanked for strong support to Ukraine in countering aggression. Japan allocates $100 million to the already approved aid of $100 million, fully supports tough sanctions against Russia. Thank you! A truly global anti-war coalition works," Zelensky said.

On February 27, Japan supported the decision by Western countries to block Russian banks from accessing the global SWIFT payment system. The state will also impose sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin and provide Ukraine with $100 million in emergency humanitarian aid.
