More than 210 Ukrainians have been killed and more than 1,100 have been wounded since Russia started invasion of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Office of Ombudsperson of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"As of the beginning of the fourth day of the war, more than 210 Ukrainian citizens were killed and more than 1,100 were wounded,” said Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova.

She stated that civilian casualties have been reported everyday since the Russian invasion began.

According to the ombudsperson, with unprecedented brutality the enemy is destroying houses, hospitals, kindergartens and schools, depriving the right to life of sons and daughters of the Ukrainian land, even children.

“There is not a single norm of acts of international humanitarian law left that Russia has not violated during its invasion of Ukraine. And for all these crimes it must bear the strictest responsibility. Ukraine is recording all the facts and will transfer them to the military tribunal in The Hague," Denisova said.

The Ukrainian ombudsman called on the international community and Ukrainian partners to continue to strengthen economic and financial sanctions against Russia for an immediate cessation of hostilities and genocide of the Ukrainian people.

"We are grateful to you for the decision to disconnect the aggressor from SWIFT. The next step should be the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine, which will help avoid airstrikes on civilian targets. Ukraine is fighting! Ukraine will win," she said.

The war in Ukraine has been ongoing for four days. On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Martial law was imposed in Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization.
