That’s according to the chief of the Donetsk military-civil regional administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, who issued a statement via Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"In Volnovakha, on which the Russians are firing from Grads and artillery for the second day in a row, 15 civilians were killed," the head of the administration wrote.
He noted that multiple households were damaged in the shelling, including two apartment blocks.
According to Kyrylenko, mobile communication is being restored in Volnovakha. The local hospital has not stopped working, but the ambulance deploys only when the shelling stops.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the head of the aggressor power, Vladimir Putin, announced on February 24 the start of a special military operation in Donbas.
