According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the shelling, as the children and staff of the orphanage had stayed in other rooms when the wreckage hit the building.

So far, children have not been evacuated from the orphanage, there are no bomb shelters or basements The Prosecutor's Office takes measures to evacuate children and staff.

As reported, on February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Missile strikes were launched on a number of Ukrainian cities, and military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were attacked.
