Enemy fires on 33 civilian facilities over past day, killing two children

Two children were killed in the enemy shelling, and 33 civilian facilities have been shelled in the past 24 hours in Ukraine.

"As of now, two children have been killed, unfortunately. And this is the fault of the Russian Federation alone," Vadym Denysenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, said, the Ministry’s press service posted on Telegram

The enemy fired on 33 civilian facilities over the past 24 hours. "Russians are shooting at civilian facilities and killing our civilians," the minister's adviser added.

At present, the main task of the Ukrainian military is to defend Kyiv.

Thanks to the territorial defense, the town of Okhtyrka was recaptured, and battles for Sumy are currently underway.

Denysenko also said that the Russians are spreading fakes in different regions. For example, that the Internet will be allegedly turned off in the city of Dnipro.

At about 05:00 February 24, the state border of Ukraine in the sections near the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus was attacked by Russian troops supported by Belarus.

In addition, the attack is carried out from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups is also observed.

On the morning of February 24, the Verkhovna Rada approved a presidential decree on the imposition of martial law throughout Ukraine.
