State Emergency Service warns of avalanche danger in the Ukrainian Carpathians

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine on February 3 issued warnings for mountainous areas in Zakarpattia, where possible avalanches are expected.
“On February 3, a considerable (III) level of avalanche danger is expected in the mountains in Lviv, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia regions. In Zakarpattia region, there is a danger of snow slide near motor roads,” the State Emergency Service reported, referring to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center’s forecasts.
