Over 3.5 million square meters of roads repaired in Ukraine this year
In 2026, 3.5 million square meters of road surface on national highways in Ukraine were repaired.
According to Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba announced this on Facebook.
According to him, significant amounts of work were carried out on key international routes:
- M-05 Kyiv–Odesa — 9,350 square meters;
- M-14 Odesa – Melitopol – Novoazovsk — 7,330 sq. m;
- M-03 Kyiv – Kharkiv – Dovzhanskyi — 5,749 sq. m;
- M-07 Kyiv – Kovel – Yahodyn — 4,167 sq. m;
- M-30 Stryi – Uman – Dnipro – Izvaryne — 2,236 sq. m;
- M-19 Domanove – Kovel – Chernivtsi – Terebleche — 2,142 sq. m.
“Our task is to ensure the passability of international and national roads by June 1. This involves repairing approximately 10 million square meters of road surface, and we are proceeding according to the approved schedule,” Kuleba noted.
Based on the progress of planned work, the leading regions today are Kirovohrad (82%), Mykolaiv (69.3%), and Rivne (57.6%) regions.
Work is continuing in all regions, taking weather conditions into account. Once the weather stabilizes, the plan is to increase the pace to 200,000 square meters per day.
As reported by Ukrinform, the government has adopted a resolution to accelerate the restoration of roads near the front lines.
