Government redistributes UAH 142.3M for reconstruction in Chernihiv and Sumy regions

The Cabinet of Ministers has reallocated UAH 142.3 million from the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression to support reconstruction projects in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

According to Ukrinform, Taras Melnychuk, the Government’s Permanent Representative to the Verkhovna Rada, announced this on Telegram.

“The amount allocated to the Recovery Agency from the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression has been reduced by UAH 142.3 million. A redistribution of funds has been carried out in accordance with the list of projects (facilities and measures) financed by the fund, earmarked for the construction and restoration of infrastructure, residential and public facilities, and community buildings,” the statement reads.

Funds were reallocated by reducing amounts previously designated for the Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv regions and increasing allocations to the Chernihiv region. Additional adjustments were made to projects in the Sumy region.

As reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers will allocate UAH 2 billion to strengthen energy resilience and logistics in the Sumy, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
