Denmark allocates $375M for Ukraine’s recovery efforts, with almost 60% – for Mykolaiv region
Denmark is allocating USD 375 million for Ukraine’s recovery efforts, and almost 60% of this sum will be transferred to the city of Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv region.
The relevant statement was made by Mykolaiv City Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Denmark is allocating USD 375 million for Ukraine’s recovery efforts. A significant portion of this sum – almost 60% – will be directed to implement projects in the city of Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv region,” the report states.
This funding will be spent on the restoration of critical infrastructure, humanitarian assistance, providing support for veterans and internally displaced persons, business development, green transition in the energy and transport sectors, as well as further reforms.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych expressed gratitude to the Government of Denmark for its solidarity and true partnership, and mentioned that Mykolaiv had already had successful results of partnership with Denmark.
A reminder that Denmark launched its largest national aid programme for Ukraine with a total budget of DKK 2.8 billion (EUR 375 million).
