Foreign Minister Klimkin: Ukraine promotes release of Sushchenko through all possible channels

Ukraine promotes the issue of release of Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko, who was illegally arrested in Russia, and other political prisoners through all possible channels.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this at a joint press conference with Foreign Minister of Denmark Anders Samuelsen in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are trying to work through all possible channels. I will not reveal all the details, but I raised this issue several times during the talks with the French Foreign Minister and with the EU. At the moment we are looking for all possible ways. I won’t speak about some specific things deliberately," Klimkin said.

As minister Klimkin noted, the made efforts relate not only to Roman Sushchenko or "a specific person" but to all the political prisoners who are being imprisoned on the territory of Russia and the occupied Crimea.
