Defense Ministry spokesman becomes press secretary at Prosecutor General's Office

Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on anti-terrorist operation (ATO) issues, leaves his post and begins to work as spokesman for the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.

Lysenko wrote this on his Facebook page.

"Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko has recently suggested that I move on to the second, internal and equally important front - to uphold the law and justice in the fight against crime, corruption and other manifestations of lawlessness as spokesperson for the Prosecutor General's Office. I agreed, and therefore announce the completion of a multi-year journey in the status of spokesman on ATO issues," he said.

Lysenko noted that as ATO spokesman, "he did everything possible for the formation and development of a system for informing about Russia's aggression and military actions in the east of Ukraine": "I am convinced that the multi-budget false invader over these years failed to draw the situation in the information field in its favor. With the efforts of our small team, military, civilian colleagues-journalists, experts and active citizens, we gained uneasy victories with daily briefings, live broadcasts and professional explanations."
