Foreign Minister Klimkin on Sushchenko’s arrest: We know how Russia fabricates cases

The Ukrainian consul has been allowed to visit Ukrinform journalist Roman Sushchenko, who is illegally detained in Russia on espionage charges, only on October 14 at 2 p.m.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this on 112 Ukrainian TV Channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We all know how Russia fabricates cases. Moreover, Russia is trying to raise stakes in all directions. Our consul, unfortunately, will visit Roman only on Friday, at 2 p.m. We’ve received access only for [October] 14," Klimkin said.

According to him, Russia uses certain tactics: first it gives access to Mark Feygin, then to reporters so that to show the picture, and only then it gives access to the consular.
