President Poroshenko: Ukrainian diplomats allowed visit Sushchenko next week

Ukrainian diplomats have gained a permit to visit next week Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko, who was arrested in Moscow on espionage charges.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko posted this on Twitter.

“[Ukrainian Foreign Minister] Pavlo Klimkin has just informed me that Ukrainian diplomats have managed to get permission to see our journalist Roman Sushchenko – next week,” he wrote.

As reported, investigators in Russia officially charged Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko with espionage. According to Sushchenko’s lawyer, Mark Feygin, Sushchenko was not allowed to see his lawyer and thus he doesn’t plan to give evidence to the investigator.

He also added that Roman Sushchenko doesn’t admit guilt.
