Kuleba calls on IOC not to conceal Russian atrocities 'with white flags'

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has addressed the International Olympic Committee over the possibility of Russia and Belarus participating in the Olympics.

He said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Since last year, 231 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed by the Russians, 15 wounded, 28 detained, and 4 are missing. This genocidal war is ordered by Putin, but carried out by regular Russians. The IOC must stop trying to conceal Russian crimes with white flags," Kuleba said.

On January 25, the IOC issued a statement in which it said Russian and Belarusian athletes might participate in the Paris Olympics as neutrals. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Guttsait, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and other officials have already responded to the statement. As a sign of protest, Ukraine may boycott the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
