Usyk-Joshua is a 'dead fight' - Whyte

WBC interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte has said he doubts that Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk can pose a serious threat to WBA, IBF and WBO champion Anthony Joshua, according to Sky Sports.

"It's a dead fight. Usyk hasn't looked good. Who has he fought at heavyweight? Chazz Witherspoon, Derek Chisora. He looked terrible in the fights. He has no punch power. Okay, he's got good movement, but it's not nice movement. At cruiserweight his movement was nice, but at heavyweight, his movement is not nice. It's just so negative," Whyte said.

The WBO ordered Joshua to defend his belt against mandatory challenger Usyk. Both parties must sign the contract before May 31. The fight may take place in late August or early September.

Whyte plans to return to the ring in August or September. In his last fight, he knocked out Alexander Povetkin to regain the interim WBC heavyweight title.
