Lomachenko to remain in boxing for four more years

Lightweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko signed a new contract with the Top Rank promotional company this year, senior boxing writer Lance Pugmire has written on the website The Athletic.

According to the journalist, under the new contract, Lomachenko still has four years of obligations, and his next big fight is scheduled for early next year with the winner of the bout between Richard Commey and Teofimo Lopez, due on December 14.

Earlier, the Ukrainian boxer has repeatedly stated that he wants to become the undisputed lightweight champion. He needs only the IBF title to get this status.

Lomachenko said in August that he would consider completing his professional boxing career in the next few years.

On August 31, Lomachenko won the WBC title and successfully defended his WBA and WBO belts in a fight with Briton Luke Campbell.
