Dynamo Kyiv to play in Europa League

Dynamo Kyiv have played out a 3-3 draw with Belgium's Brugge in the return leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

The match took place at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv on Tuesday, August 13. Vitaliy Buyalskyi (6) and Volodymyr Shepeliev (50) scored for Dynamo Kyiv, whereas Simon Deli (38), Ruud Vormer (88) and Lois Openda (90+5) scored for Brugge. Brandon Mechele (90+3) scored an own goal.

Dynamo Kyiv defender Mykyta Burda was shown the red card in the 82nd minute, and Brugge forward Percy Tau was sent off in the 84th minute.

Brugge defeated Dynamo Kyiv 1-0 in the first leg in Belgium a week ago. In the Champions League playoffs, the Belgium club will face Austrian side LASK. Dynamo Kyiv will play in the UEFA Europa League, the second most prestigious football tournament in Europe.
