Ukrainians win three gold, three silver, four bronze medals at European Youth Olympic Festival

The 15th European Youth Olympic Festival is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

On the sixth day of the competition, the Ukrainians won three gold, three silver and four bronze medals, Ukrinform reports.

In particular, gymnasts Nazar Chepurny won a gold medal in floor exercises, a gold medal in vault and a silver medal in rings, Illia Kovtun won a silver medal in floor exercises, Volodymyr Kostiuk won a bronze medal in vault, and Anastasia Motak won a silver medal in vault. Swimmers Rostislav Kryzhanovsky won a gold medal in 100m breaststroke, Yevhenia Zhukova won a bronze medal in 100m backstroke. Judoist Tymur Valeyev won a bronze medal in a weight category up to 81 kg. Field athlete Roman Petruk won a bronze medal in long jump.

So far, the national team of Ukraine won six gold, six silver and twelve bronze medals and currently ranks sixth in the overall team standings.

The European Youth Olympic Festival will last until July 27.
