Wladimir Klitschko offered $40 mln for return to boxing

The live sports streaming service DAZN has offered Wladimir Klitschko a $40 million contract (about UAH 1 billion) for his return to the ring, according to Ukraine's sports news site Sport Arena.

Under the contract, Klitschko must hold three fights. The first fight should take place in Germany against an opponent from the world's top ten and the second and third bouts at the Wembley Stadium in London against Britons Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

In addition to $40 million under the contract, Klitschko will receive a percentage of revenues from broadcasting rights in the second and third match.

There is a clause in the contract according to which the next fight will take place in case of victory in the previous one.

If Klitschko reaches agreement, DAZN will hold talks with ESPN to broadcast a fight against Tyson Fury.

It is also known that all three fights can take place already in 2019 - in May, September, and December. If Klitschko wins all of them, he will be offered to become DAZN ambassador.
