Usyk knocks out Bellew in Manchester

Undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has defended his unified world cruiserweight titles by knocking out Britain's Tony Bellew in the eighth round, Ukrinform reports.

The fight in Manchester was almost equal before the seventh round. Bellew defended well and fired off counter attacks. Usyk gradually increased speed and his advantage became complete in the eighth round. After a series of powerful punches, Usyk sent Belly to the ground and the referee stopped the fight.

Thus, Usyk retained his unified world cruiserweight titles. After the bout, the Ukrainian refused to disclose his plans for the future, saying that he wants to relax and spend time with his family. This could be Usyk's last fight in the cruiserweight division, and next year he might move to the heavyweight division.
