Ten-man Dynamo Kyiv snatches victory from Rennes in Europa League

Ukrainian vice-champions Dynamo Kyiv have earned their first victory in the UEFA Europa League of the 2018/2019 season.

In the third round of the tournament the Ukrainian club defeated France's Rennes 2-1 away, Ukrinform reports.

Dynamo defender Tomasz Kedziora opened the scoring in the 21st minute with an amazing shot from 35 meters. The French side equalized in the 41st minute with a free kick from Clement Grenier. Vitaliy Buyalsky made it 2-1 for Dynamo in the 89th minute.

Dynamo's Volodymyr Shepelev was sent off in the 84th minute.

Another Group K match between the Czech Republic's Jablonec and Kazakhstan's Astana ended in a 1-1 draw.

After three rounds Dynamo and Astana collected five points each, Rennes has three points and Jablonec two points.

On November 8, Dynamo will play Rennes in Kyiv, whereas Astana will take on Jablonec in Kazakhstan.
