Ukraine beats Albania in friendly

Ukraine's national football team has defeated Albania in a friendly match played at a neutral site in Evian, France.

The game at the Camille Fournier Stadium ended 4-1 in favor of Andriy Shevchenko's side, Ukrinform reports.

Yevhen Konoplyanka (31, 90) and Andriy Yarmolenko (36, 45+1) scored for Ukraine, and Emanuele Ndoj (89) scored for Albania.

This was the fifth game played by the two national teams. Ukraine earned two 1-0 wins during 1998 World Cup qualifiers. It beat Albania 2-0 away and played out a 2-2 draw in Dnipro during 2006 World Cup qualifying. Ahead of Euro 2016, exactly two years ago, Ukrainians defeated Albanians 3-1 in a friendly match.
